A young tanuki named Totto is born with shapeshifting powers. His family abandons him, leaving him caught between animal and human worlds. Totto dreams of taking human form for one simple wish. He wants to eat clean ice cream that has not fallen on the floor. His first steps toward that goal frame a gentle tale of identity and longing.
