A decade after sea creatures began turning into giant threats, Natsuzo is caught in a city disaster. A girl with shark hand puppets rushes in and saves him with a shark-themed punch. She later transfers into his class as Ichika. Despite her heroic entrance, she is timid, clumsy, and afraid of the enormous sea beasts. Natsuzo is inspired by her courage and wants to become strong enough to protect her.
