乙女椿は笑わない

Tsubaki works in a department-store stationery section and cannot smile because of a past trauma. Her careful work earns trust even when customers misunderstand her quiet manner. One night a man helps her after her glasses break on the way home. He has come at the request of the mother who left Tsubaki in childhood. His arrival pulls Tsubaki toward buried family pain and a guarded new connection.
