Shinra Kusakabe, known as the "Devil's Footprints" for his ability to ignite his feet, joins the Special Fire Force Company 8 with a dual purpose: to fight the mysterious Infernals, humans who spontaneously combust into flame beings, and to uncover the truth behind his family's tragic past. Alongside him is the quirky Arthur Boyle, who wields a sword of light and sees himself as a knight, adding both humor and complexity to their team. They are part of a diverse group at Company 8, including the stoic captain Obi, the enigmatic Maki Oze with her flame manipulation, and the insightful Tamaki Kotatsu, whose powers are both a blessing and a curse. Together, they not only combat the Infernals but also delve into a web of conspiracies that threaten the very fabric of their society.
